You've Changed My Life

bhuddy,

Thanks for being there when I needed a shoulder to lean on, for patiently listening to my personal problems. Baby, I just want you to know how happy am I to have you in my life and I thank God for that. Thank you for the love and the joy you bring. You've changed my life, Baby.

You're the only boyfriend who gives my heart some excitement and thrills. When I'm with you I feel like I'm out of control! You taught me how to handle life seriously, you taught me how to solve my problems and to face it without any fear... when I'm with you, I feel no fear, not even a single one.

I know that when you say you love me and I admit that I've fallen for you, I know that I wouldn't shed any tears from now on. I love you and that's what I want you to bear in your mind, and it's for keeps.

Yours and only yours,

bhudz

facebook addiction

This just in: Facebook is addicting. Well, unless you've been living under a rock for the past few years, then you probably already know that. But now, there is definitive proof.
Norway's University of Bergen recently published the results of its "Facebook Addiction" research project, finding that women are more likely to develop an addiction to the social network that boasts more than 500 million daily users.
The report also indicated an alarming finding: Facebook dependency produces symptoms similar to those seen in alcohol and substance addictions.
"The use of Facebook has increased rapidly," Professor Cecilie Schou Andreassen, Ph.D, who heads the project, said in a statement. "We are dealing with a subdivision of Internet addiction connected to social media."
The study, published in Psychological Reports, derives its results from a five-point "Bergen Facebook Addiction Scale." The Facebook scale is reportedly the first of its kind in the world.
During January 2011, 423 students, 227 of which were women, self-assessed their feelings toward six statements relating to Facebook use. Answers ranged from "very rarely" to "very often."
Responses of "often," or "very often" to at least four of the six questions qualified study participants as Facebook addicts.
Andreassen explains women have a higher risk for Facebook addiction because of the social nature of the beast. Her assertion is backed by studies that show women are significantly more active on Facebook than men.
According to a recent Pew Research Center study, women are also more likely to delete friends from social networks like Facebook, taking an active role in their online social presence.
However, women are not the only ones who are more susceptible t
o Facebook addiction. Andreassen also found that dependency occurs more frequently among younger than older users. What's more, Facebook users who are anxious and socially insecure are more likely to develop a need to maintain their social presence on the site.
Rate yourself on the Facebook Addiction Scale.
Record your responses -- very rarely, rarely, sometimes, often or very often -- to the six following statements.
  • You spend a lot of time thinking about Facebook or plan to use Facebook.
  • You feel an urge to use Facebook more and more.
  • You use Facebook in order to forget about personal problems.
  • You have tried to cut down on the use of Facebook without success.
  • You become restless or troubled if you are prohibited from using Facebook.
  • You use Facebook so much that it has a negative impact on your job/studies.
Now count up the number of times you answered "often" or "very often."

HOW TO LOSE WEIGHT ?
At it's most basic, losing weight is about burning more calories than you eat. That seems simple enough, but if were really that simple, none of us would have a weight problem. Too often we take drastic measures to see results -- diets, pills or those weird fitness gadgets on infomercials that promise instant success. Maybe you lose weight but what happens when you go off that diet or stop that crazy workout program? You gain it all back and more. The real secret to weight loss is to make small, lasting changes. The key is to forget about instant results and settle in for the long run.
To lose one pound of fat, you must burn approximately 3500 calories over and above what you already burn doing daily activities. That sounds like a lot of calories and you certainly wouldn't want to try to burn 3500 calories in one day. However, by taking it step-by-step, you can determine just what you need to do each day to burn or cut out those extra calories. Below is a step by step process for getting started.
  1. Calculate your BMR (basal metabolic rate). Your BMR is the amount of calories your body needs to maintain basic bodily functions like breathing and digestion. This is the minimum number of calories you need to eat each day. Keep in mind that no calculator will be 100% accurate, so you may need to adjust these numbers as you learn more about your own metabolism.
  2. Calculate your activity level. For a week or so, keep an activity journal and use a calorie calculator to figure out how many calories you burn while sitting, standing, exercising, lifting weights, etc. throughout the day. Another, easier option is to wear a heart rate monitor that calculates calories burned. After a week, add your totals for each day and average them out to get a general idea of how many calories you burn each day.
  3. Keep track of how many calories you eat. For at least a week, enter and track your calories online (e.g., with Calorie Count) or use a food journal to write down what you eat and drink each day. Be as accurate as possible, measuring when you need to or looking up nutritional information for restaurants, if you eat out. After a week, add your totals for each day and average them out to get a general idea of how many calories you eat each day.
  4. Add it up. Take your BMR number and add your activity calories. Then subtract your food calories from that total. If you're eating more than your BMR + your activity calories, you're at risk for gaining weight.
Example:

Mary's BMR is 1400 calories and she burns 900 calories with regular exercise, walking around and doing household chores. To maintain her weight, she should be eating 2300 calories (1400 + 900= 2300). However, after keeping a food journal, Mary finds that she's eating 2550 calories every day. By eating 250 more calories than her body needs, Mary will gain about a pound every 2-3 weeks.
This example shows how easy it is to gain weight without even knowing it. However, it's also easy to lose weight, even if the process itself can be slow. You can start by making small changes in your diet and activity levels and immediately start burning more calories than you're eating. If you can find a way to burn an extra 200 to 500 calories each day with both exercise and diet, you're on the right track. Try these ideas:
Instead of... Do this...
An afternoon Coke Drink a glass of water. (calories saved: 97)
An Egg McMuffin Eat a small whole wheat bagel +1 Tbsp of peanut butter (calories saved: 185)
Using your break eat sweets Walk up and down a flight of stairs for 10 minutes (calories burned: 100)
Hitting the snooze button Get up 10 minutes early and go for a brisk walk (calories burned: 100)
Watching TV after work Do 10 minutes of yoga (calories burned: 50)

Total Calories Saved: 532 (based on a 140-pound person)

sumpa

                                                 MYSTERIO DE LAS FILIPINAS

 Sumpa
Like many other words, Sumpa has different meanings in the Tagalog Dialect. The two most used are :
A). an oath. In this form of meaning of sumpa, it pertains to a promise. It is usually a promise to do something, usually for a lover or a dead relative ( "Sinusumpa ko, ipapaghihiganti ko kayo, Itay!). Some lovers are nagsusumpaan or they promise each other that they will remain in love until the end of time, come what may!
B). a curse. Now this sumpa is what Im going to talk about. A sumpa is a curse given to a mortal enemy. It is usually spoken by the giver in a loud voice for all to hear.
We heard of stories about witches being burned and shouting, "Sinusumpa ko, babalik ako upang maghiganti!" (I promise I will come back to take revenge!). Now those are good examples of sumpa.
Now in kulam, there are some spells to curse or place a sumpa upon a victim or enemy. Although they are very effective, modern withces rarely utilize them these days.
One way is to create what they call the Bote ng Sumpa. Everytime you curse a person, it is said that his soul will be traped inside the bottle. I just don't know how to make the  bottle but I will reserch it promise!
